Thank you so much for your reaching out to us here in prison. I took your words to heart. I have no fear of leaving today, I know mine is a 'Journey of Hope'."

Through case management, we assist clients’ access to community resources through our partners. Resources include housing, education, vocational rehabilitation, furnishings, clothing, food donations, job training and referrals. Clients are expected to meet with case managers once a week before housing is assigned then cases are managed on a case by case basis.
We use gender-responsive, trauma-informed approaches to create community partnerships to support the women and girls we serve. Mentoring begins three to six months before release from prison, and continues for one year after release.
We offer two courses to women in Utah correctional facilities. Bridges out of Poverty teaches the skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty. Journey of Hope Transitional Services teaches women about all the tools needed to make a successful transition from prison to life outside of prison walls.
Journey of Hope offers monthly beauty classes taught by a licensed beautician, yoga classes, free haircuts and more to create a sense of belonging and community for the women we serve.
We offer an on-site computer lab that our clients can use to look for housing and work opportunities, free printing, and other internet-related services.
USARA Addiction Recovery
We have partnered with Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness to provide addiction recovery services two days a week. USARA’s mission is to celebrate, advocate, support, and educate on behalf of drug and/or alcohol addiction recovery and Utah’s recovery community.
